JOB TITLE : After School Care Attendant

REPORTS TO : School Administrator

STATUS : Part-time

HOURS : 3 : 30pm-5pm as needed while school is in session

LOCATION : Erlanger, KY

SUMMARY

The After School Care Attendant is responsible for providing childcare to students after the normal school day has ended for our families at Answers Academy.

This position will allow one to impact others through a service mindset centered on making an eternal difference. This position should display our Core Values of SERVE (Serve, Equip, Relate, Value, Engage) when interfacing with both internal and external customers to ensure that the message and mission of Answers in Genesis is portrayed in an effective and God-honoring fashion.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Supervision of children and ensures safety and welfare of all enrolled children
• Assists and direct students with daily schedule of activities and homework completion
• Always maintains a safe environment
• Reports safety, sanitary and fire hazards immediately to the appropriate department
• Ability to work independently and prioritize a variety of tasks
• Maintains confidentiality with behavior of all students
• Provides a warm, nurturing, and inviting program atmosphere
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance and uploads into the SIS
• Maintain clear boundaries and setting age-appropriate discipline standards for children
• Attends work regularly and is punctual
• Serve as a Christian role model to students, parents, and staff
• Serve others, both within and outside the school

REQUIRED PERSONAL QUALITIES

• Commitment to Jesus Christ Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ Regular attendance at a local Bible-believing church Demonstrates a mature, godly spirit as a person of faith and prayer
• Commitment to the Answers Academy mission
• Recognize the role of parents as primarily responsible before God for their children’s education and be prepared to assist them in that task
• Demonstrate the character qualities of enthusiasm, courtesy, flexibility, integrity, gratitude, kindness, self-control, perseverance and punctuality
• Meet everyday stress with emotional stability, objectivity and optimism
• Desire to be a team player in an exciting God-centered ministry and willing to help wherever needed in a humble, gracious manner
