Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team. The Construction Estimator will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs and providing detailed proposals for construction projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction estimating, cost control, and project management. Responsibilities: - Analyze project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work and materials required - Prepare accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services - Utilize construction estimating software such as HeavyBid to create detailed estimates - Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop project budgets and schedules - Review and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers - Conduct site visits to gather information for estimating purposes - Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budget - Assist in value engineering efforts to identify cost-saving opportunities - Prepare and present proposals to clients, including detailed breakdowns of costs - Maintain accurate records of estimates, proposals, and contracts Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred - Proven experience as a Construction Estimator or similar role - Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes - Proficient in construction estimating software such as HeavyBid - Familiarity with project management principles and practices - Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail - Strong negotiation and communication skills - Proficient in using Bluebeam or similar software for reviewing plans and specifications Benefits: - Competitive salary based on experience - Health insurance coverage - Retirement plan options - Paid time off and holidays If you have the skills and qualifications necessary for this position, we encourage you to apply.
