Annunciation School is a vibrant, Catholic school serving students from preschool through 8th grade. We are seeking a qualified, enthusiastic and passionate part-time K-5 math support teacher to join our school community. The part-time K-5 math support position is responsible for supporting student achievement in the area of mathematics and will provide individual or small group instruction to students who are in need of some additional math support as determined by the classroom teacher. The math support teacher will be part of a collaborative team, helping create a positive, engaging environment for learning.

As a Catholic International Baccalaureate – PYP World School, Annunciation provides inquiry instruction and student-focused activities to engage students in meaningful learning activities that meet the needs of a diverse group of students.

Job Qualifications

This role involves supervising students, preparing lesson materials, directly assisting students within the classroom, and collaborating with the lead teacher.

The successful candidate must enjoy working with children and be devoted to building a nurturing and safe learning environment. To excel in this position, you must demonstrate excellent communication skills, as well as in-depth knowledge of classroom management and teaching methods.

• MN elementary teaching license and elementary math support experience is preferred.
• Follows the mission of Annunciation Catholic School.
• Creates a Christ-like atmosphere in which the needs of the whole child are met.
• Revise lesson materials with students individually or in small groups.
• Ensure the classroom environment is safe and clean.
• Collaborate with lead teachers to recognize academic and emotional issues students are facing.
• Document student progress and communicate with the lead teacher.
• Attend school community events.
