Position Description: Responsible for planning and implementing a quality recreation, leisure and physical fitness program for the Villagers taking into consideration their interests and abilities, including participation in community activities. This position will be part of the AFLS curriculum delivery team through developing meaningful activities and instruction to reinforce skills acquisition and maintenance. Responsible for planning and implementing Community Inclusion/Outreach opportunities for the Villagers. This is an exempt position and requires forty or more hours weekly to complete job duties.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or AA Degree in Physical Education, Therapeutic Recreation, Special Education or related field with a minimum of 2 years proven experience working with IDD population or related field. Must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid Class C Georgia Driver’s License, proof of vehicle insurance, and meet company policy regarding MVR requirements. Must meet state requirements regarding a GBI and FBI criminal history record check which requires fingerprinting. Must undergo and pass a drug screening and screening for Tuberculosis. Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

The quality of job performance will be evaluated at least annually using the Annandale Villager performance evaluation process.
