Annandale Village is Hiring an Assistant Residential Manager Near Suwanee, GA

Position Purpose
Responsible for providing residential supports to the Residential Manager and the Direct Support Professionals. Demonstrated organizational skills are required. Strong leadership potential is required. The ability to multi-task and cope with stressful situations, while maintaining professionalism, is essential. Assist with provision of support and services for the Villagers, scheduling residential staff to maintain ratios and assist with ensuring the health and safety for all Villagers.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred in Human Services, Business, and/or Social Services; with a minimum of 4 years work experience and/or a combination of education and experience equal to 4 years.
Experience in human services field is desired; demonstrated interest in working with adults with DD/ID is required.
Must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid Class C Georgia Driver's License, proof of vehicle insurance, and meet company policy regarding MVR requirements.
Must meet state requirements regarding a GBI and FBI criminal history record check which requires fingerprinting.
Must undergo and pass a drug screening and screening for Tuberculosis.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Must be Proxy trained within 30 days of hire
Ensures that the narcotic medication counts are done appropriately and in accordance to policy.
Assists in the administration of medications as needed
Is familiar with the Progressive Discipline Protocol for medication errors and coaches DSPs to reduce the occurrences.
Provide leadership when the Residential Manager is not available.
Responsible for staffing to meet ratios set by regulations and staffing profiles as set by Annandale, filling empty shifts and covering call outs.
Working a schedule which maximizes the availability of the Assistant Residential Manager to the residential staff.
Assist with conducting and/or monitoring all daily residential shift updates
Assist with monitoring and checking the physical condition and upkeep of the residential houses using the Residential Inspection check list.
Place Maintenance work orders for repairs as needed.
Shift check list (First Aid Kits, bulletin boards, and supplies)
On call during evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
Will act as the Designated Person of Authority in the absence of the Residential Manager.
Provide assigned training for DSPs as requested.
Ensure appropriate documentation is put into ALIS daily by residential staff.
Ensure that Incident Reports are completed on time and properly within the shift it occurred.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff.
Ensure that all staff are performing their assigned duties in a quality manner and providing good customer service to Villagers, families, and co-workers.
Advance computer skills with the ability to train others in system usage.
Monitors meals in the dining hall and during special events as needed/assigned.
Monitors and assists with community volunteers that are on campus.
Schedule planning for newly hired residential staff including PRN and part-time.
Provides disciplinary documentation to the Residential Manager and/or the Personal Care
Home/Day Program Administrator.
Assists in counseling/coaching as well as other disciplinary actions as needed.
Attends ISP meetings as assigned
Attends P&S meeting as assigned
Attends all required and assigned trainings and meetings
Performs other duties that may be necessary in the best interest of Annandale at Suwanee, Inc. to meet the personal service and care of the Villagers.

Ability to read, write, and speak English.

The employee frequently is required to sit, stand, and walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, or crawl.
Employee is required to lift up to 25 pounds and/or move up to 75 pounds (with assistance).
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Employee is required to transport (drive) and assist Villagers in and out of vehicles.
Employee is required to perform CPR/First Aid.
