Ann Storck Center is Hiring a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional Near Davie, FL

The Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) is responsible for leading the interdisciplinary team in the development and implementation of each individual's plan of care; ensuring consistent service delivery of each plan, including but not limited to observing individuals, reviewing data and progress, and revising programs based on individual need and performance.
Duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Encourage all residents to be independent and participate in self-advocacy.
  • Attend all behavior management meetings as required.
  • Facilitates communications between all disciplines through informal communications, meetings, and Individual Resident notes.
  • Facilitates the transition of residents to another house/facility as requested.
  • Ensures Circle of Support meets annually and as needed with resident and/or their guardian and/or family to identify and meet residents’ needs, wishes, and desires.
  • Ensures that all residents’ individual programming service delivery and quality of life needs are implemented across all disciplines and service areas.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of each resident’s active treatment plan.
  • Assists with training personnel to meet residents’ needs.
  • Participates in ensuring that the environment is home-like, safe, and sanitary and has adequate supplies.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience working with persons with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
  • Must have the ability to manage, create, and lead programs.
  • Excellent administrative, clerical, and organizational skills.
  • Computer literate particularly with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Required to exercise effective problem-solving, reasoning, and critical thinking skills.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak in English.
