    REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Building Principal
    SUMMARY: Responsible for the organization and coordination of office operations, procedures and resources to facilitate organizational effectiveness and efficiency. Assist students, staff, parents and the general public that enter the school building. Overall responsibility is to ensure the smooth running of the Main Office.
    QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
    High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus additional training with 3 to 5 years related experience
    Knowledge of accounting, data and administrative practices and procedures
    Computer skills and expertise in Microsoft Office, and New World
    Knowledge of clerical practices and procedures
    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Makes and receives telephone calls, takes messages, and routes calls
    Answer routine telephone inquires regarding programs and building procedures
    Provide general clerical assistance, including distribution and sorting of mail
    Greets visitors, receive new students & parents, answer questions and resolve student concerns that arise in the office
    Process custodial and building maintenance work orders
    Type, prepare, distribute, and file records/reports, correspondence, mailings related to building functions and general office needs
    Orientate substitute teachers
    Assist with registration, preparations and process, and the attendance/payroll process for the building staff
    Provide appropriate first aid needs and contact parents and/or legal guardians
    Assist with scheduling use of building
    Assist and maintain student ID cards
    Maintain bus route schedule and distribute bus passes
    Operate standard office equipment and place service calls
    Distribute community/district information and communications
    Ensure security and confidentiality of school data/records
    Oversee adherence to office policies and procedures
    Monitor and maintain office supplies inventory and acquisition process
    Regular and reliable attendance
    Other duties as assigned
    LANGUAGE SKILLS:
    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of people.
    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
    REASONING ABILITY:
    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
    OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: Ability to operate computer at an intermediate level. Ability to operate office machines. develop effective working relationships with students, staff and the school community. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.
