**Job Overview**

The project manager is an integral part of the Network Development management team, the position manages all cross-divisional projects, meeting decks, documentation and administration in support of the VP of Network Development & Special Projects and the DMs. The position, in collaboration with the management team, ensures timelines, risks and milestones are managed for all strategic and operational planning/operations of the VP area.

With Network Development being a key-enabler for the MBUSA NorthStar strategy, the project manager works closely with Sales, Customer Services, the Digital House, Product Management and Dealer Partners to identify and prioritize opportunities and advise how/where to direct resources to capitalize on these opportunities.

The position provides administrative support of the VP of Network Development & Special Projects.

**Responsibilities**

* Manage and lead overall project/operational coordination of cross-functional, cross-divisional and cross-oceanic projects involving colleagues from Mercedes-Benz AG (Germany), MBUSA and MB Canada, Passenger Car and the Vans Division. This includes direct leadership and accountability for projects in incumbents direct scope (as defined by the management team) and oversight/coordination of those departmental projects where involvement may be indirect or tangential

* Develop and maintain reports and presentations for VP Network Development & Special Projects in conjunction with the management team

* Create and maintain a Network Development governance structure by setting-up regular communications/meetings, workshops, tracking mechanisms and reporting to ensure strategic and operational priorities of the dept. are achieved as planned/required and that ensure cross-team collaboration and information exchange; including, but not limited to, implementation of communication and collaboration platforms (e.g. SharePoint, Kanbo, etc.)

* Coordinate and prepare all reports, presentations (including comprehensive storylines) to superior entities and structures (e.g. BoM, MS ExComm, International Best Practice Forums, etc.) required by the VP for meetings and initiatives

* Serve as the primary coordinator for MB Dealer Board meetings

* Liaison to industry organizations (e.g. NADA, NAMAD, AIADA) with regard to network strategy and our initiatives/targets/goals that have common interests with the objectives of these organizations

* Ensure that all agreed projects, presentations, reports and analyses are accurate and delivered on-time

* Manage ad hoc, cross divisional projects as required

* Contribute to the development of open and transparent communication between the Network Development management team and stakeholders

* Manage the Network Development budget, reconcile and identify variances and develop actions

* Manage all social events for the Network Development & Special Projects division

* Develop, evaluate and track headcount and budget models that ensure compliance with corporate goals and which support strategic initiatives

* Support VP and management team with event planning, including travel and schedule related duties

* Manage the VP of the Network Development and Special Projects travel bookings, expenses, travel agendas and ad hoc administrative tasks, as required

* Ability to processes significant amounts of information and assess relativity & applicability and then prioritize

* Strong network within MBUSA

* Experience in engaging with dealerships on all levels

* Market knowledge and experience (in the USA market preferred)

* Demonstrated organizational skills able to breakdown complexity into digestible parts; to bring order and structure to chaotic/changing environments; comfort with working in a VUCA environment

* Demonstrated English language skills and USA cultural knowledge; experience with the German language and culture a plus (proficiency preferred)

* Experienced in project management of complex and cross-functional projects

* Demonstrated Multi-National Customer Orientation, or dealer experience, a plus

**Education**

* Bachelors Degree - International Business, Marketing or Project Management

* Masters Degree a plus

* Certification in project management a plus

* 7--10 years experience in project management, business consultancy and/or strategy

**Additional Information**

* Position resides in Atlanta, GA, USA

* Domestic (and occasionally International) travel requirements (<15%)

* Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office is a must (PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook focused)

* Demonstrated ability utilizing project/collaboration tools such as TEAMS, Skype, Zoom, WebEx, Vevox, Slack, SharePoint, Kanbo, etc.
