    Position Summary:
    Adult Education Coordinator will coordinate and advance established program processes: student assessment: administration of assessment, staff development related to assessment and coordination of state and federal collection and management of data. Coordinator will work with and report to Co-Facilitators.
    QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
    • A bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Experience as a testing/assessment coordinator
    • Data management experience
    • Experience and proficiency with Microsoft software (e.g., Word, Excel) and Google Apps (e.g., Sheets, Docs, and Forms)
    • Demonstrated emphasis on customer service with diverse customer populations
    • Proof of COVID vaccination required
    ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Knowledge of Adult Ed Policies and Procedures
    • Responsible for all aspects of the enrollment process for ESL/HSC/GED in-take, assessment, and Michigan Adult Education Reporting System data entry.
    • Coordinate on-going communications for student registration.
    • Monitor and assess pre-test scores and attendance hours to determine student post-test eligibility.
    • Follow up with students after program exit to monitor employment and post-secondary enrollment status.
    • Actively strive to upgrade professional skills through professional training and experience
    • Understanding of FERPA and the protection of student data including ethical use policies at the District, State, and Federal levels
    • Understanding of PowerSchool and the functions of exporting student data
    • Ability to import, export, merge, and clean data in various local and State systems
    • Maintain complete and accurate records
    • Attend State and County training and other meetings pertaining to adult education coordination
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    • individuals.
    Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    • Equivalent of two years successful work experience in related areas
    • Must have excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
    • Demonstrate initiative
    • Available during day and evening hours at Pathways and off-campus locations.
    • Knowledge of computer systems, PowerSchool, assessment system, Google Classroom, Zoom
    • Ability to work with diverse students and staff in a multicultural environment.
    • Proficient with virtual communication platforms (set-up and facilitation of) including but not limited to Zoom, GoToMeeting, Microsoft Teams, Facebook Live, and other various social media platforms.
    LANGUAGE SKILLS:
    Read, write and comprehend basic instructions, short correspondence, and memos
    Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to staff, parents, students and administrators
    Communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
    Add, subtract, and multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

    REASONING ABILITY:
    Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
    Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations

    OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
    Work with parents and children of diverse cultural backgrounds
    Develop effective working relationships with students, staff, and the school community
    Perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies
