Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our animal patients. Duties:
- Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
- Perform various diagnostic tests, such as blood work and x-rays
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Monitor anesthesia during surgical procedures
- Prepare animals for surgery, including cleaning and sterilizing surgical instruments
- Provide post-operative care and monitoring to ensure proper recovery
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate medical records for all patients
- Assist with grooming, bathing, and general animal care as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working as a Veterinary Technician preferred
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures
- Strong skills in animal handling and restraint
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques for surgical procedures
- Ability to perform basic pet grooming tasks
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment
