We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Home Health Aides. As a Home Health Aide, you will provide essential care and support to individuals in their homes or residential facilities. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
Duties:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding if necessary
- Administer medication reminders and assist with medication management
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry and tidying up
- Monitor and record vital signs as needed
- Assist with mobility and transfers
- Follow care plans and communicate any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Previous experience in caregiving or related field preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic medical procedures
- Ability to effectively communicate with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately
Skills:
- Experience with medical records management
- Cooking skills for meal preparation
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of hospice care principles
- Familiarity with assisted living facilities
- Understanding of caregiving systems and best practices
- Ability to take vital signs accurately
- Knowledge of personal care techniques and hygiene practices in a home setting
- Familiarity with nursing home procedures
