Job Title: Financial Analyst
Reporting to: Controller FLSA
Job Summary:
The Financial Analyst requires a strong analytical background with the ability to analyze and interpret financial results for reporting to senior management and operations.
The Financial Analyst will be responsible for financial planning & analysis as part of the Finance team. Key tasks include business analysis, reporting, analyzing key trends and recommending potential strategies to management to ensure that we achieve our financial and non-financial targets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Analyze historical and current financial and operations data to understand the company’s financial performance
· Develop predictive financial models to support organizational decision-making
· Analyze processes to identify trends and gaps in performance that can improve profit margins
· Establish benchmarks for financial & operational processes
· Track current financial & operational data to alert stakeholders of opportunities to improve results
· Study industry-specific research and available data to predict trends
· Create written reports that enable management teams to make strategic and operating decisions to meet business goals
· Develop forecasting tools to automate financial data analysis
· Perform financial forecasting, assist in development of annual business plan, variance analysis of actual results versus the prior year and budgeted or forecast results including analysis and reconciliation of internal accounts to assesses strategic decision alternatives
· Assist in the month end, quarter end, and year end closing process ensuring transactions are in accordance with GAAP
· Prepare financial related analysis and research in area such as financial and cost saving performance measures
· Participate in annual budget process and cost saving activities
· Provide budget, forecast, and mid-range planning support for operators and other corporate disciplines as a financial business partner
· Analyze data - provide recommendations, challenge assumptions
· Create Budget presentation materials and monthly financial reporting
· Support our overall annual (budget, mid-range plan), quarterly and monthly forecasting processes. Support the consolidation process. Ensure data integrity
· Develop thoughtful analysis and deliver key insights that support strategic decision making
· Perform ad-hoc analysis and develop financial models, ex: gap and trend analysis, risks and opportunities, ROI, others
· Prepare consolidated reporting for headcount, turnover, operational and other KPI’s
· Work closely with the Accounting Dept to ensure the month-end results are easily understood and data is shared between teams in a collaborative manner
· Recommend ways to automate reporting and streamline processes

Education and Experience Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance / Accounting or equivalent work experience.
· Minimum 5-7 years of related work experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
· Excellent analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting abilities.
· Excellent communication skills across various levels including senior leadership.
· Takes initiative and ownership to ensure successful outcomes.
· Ability to multitask and deliver against aggressive timelines.
· Advanced proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.
· Willingness to assist with a variety of tasks and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
· Knowledge/understanding of accounting and financial statements.
· Proven experience working as a financial analyst
· Proven proficiency in spreadsheets, databases and financial software applications (including the software applications that you are currently using in your organization or plan to use in the future)
· Excellent reporting, presenting and communication skills
· Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles
· Ability to work with large datasets
· Strategic thinking and organizational skills
· Proven analytical and financial modeling skills
