Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Parts Manager to join our team at Andy Mohr Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. As a leading automotive dealership in Indiana, we pride ourselves on providing top-notch service and quality parts to our customers. The Parts Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our parts department and maintaining customer satisfaction. A strong candidate strives to accomplish objectives through the use of company purchasing procedures, inventory control, staff utilization, security, pricing, merchandising and advertising.

Requirements:

• Reynolds & Reynolds experience preferred.
• Stellantis experience preferred.
• Valid drivers license and clean driving record
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) 
• Previous experience in automotive parts management or a related field.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in inventory management and basic accounting principles.
• Knowledge of automotive systems and parts terminology.
• Familiarity with parts ordering systems and software.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• A commitment to delivering high-quality service and achieving departmental goals.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the parts department, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and selling parts.
• Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock while minimizing excess inventory.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase parts sales and profitability.
• Supervise parts department staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Provide excellent customer service and support to both retail and wholesale customers.
• Work closely with the service department to fulfill parts orders and support timely vehicle repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory, sales, and financial transactions.
• Stay updated on industry trends and changes in automotive technology to ensure the availability of the right parts for our customers.
• Sets and enforces a policy on the special ordering of parts. 
• Works with the service manager to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobs.
• Attends managers meetings and holds weekly department meetings.
• Takes advantage of all manufacturers' inventory co-op advertising.
• Ensures that all dealership purchases are properly accounted for before payment is made.
• Assists in the collection of past-due accounts.
• Supervises employees to ensure that work area is kept clean and enforces safety requirements for the dealership.
• Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state and local regulations that may affect parts sales.
• Maintains professional appearance.
• Other duties as assigned.
