Androscoggin Valley Hospital - PROVIDER is Hiring an APRN - Pain Management Near Berlin, NH

Seeking a Full-time (4 day/week) pain APRN (not CRNA) to join a high-functioning pain management team at AVH and UCVH to help meet increase clinical demands for services.

  • AVH in Berlin - Monday, Wednesday, Friday
  • UCVH in Colebrook - Tuesday

Job Summary:

Provides office-based pain management services to new andestablished patients (adults) including:

  • medication management
  • certificationfor medical cannabis
  • education/counseling
  • monitoring of medication compliancevia PDPM and urine drug screens
  • minor procedures
  • referral to CRNAcolleagues for interventions (e.g., epidural steroid injections at variousspinal levels, radiofrequency ablation, facet blocks, SI injections, intercoastalblocks) or other services (e.g., ketamine or lidocaine infusions).

Minor procedures may include:

  • trigger point injections
  • jointinjections
  • occipital blocks
  • cold ablation (Iovera) 
  • Botox for headachesor chronic pain. 

May use ultrasound guidancefor selected procedures. (If a candidateis not currently skilled/competent in such procedures, AVH colleagues willprecept/train over time. Likely wouldbecome fully oriented and comfortable with office management of patients first,then devote time to learning procedures.) May provide Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) with Xwaiver. (Such service is not required.) Infrequently provides consultation for inpatients and EDpatients (in rotation with team members).

Shared phone call from home; do not need to come to hospital. In rotation with AVH-based APRN’s and CRNA’s, so typically 1 week every 4 weeks. Participation in call rotation would not commence until new APRN is fully trained and practicing independently (e.g., 2 to 6 months at AVH)EMR: Meditech Expanse

Essential Qualifications: Candidates should have at least 2 years of prior experience in a broad spectrum of pain management services. If not experienced in pain management, candidates should have at least 3 years of prior experience in primary care, orthopedics, or related specialty.
