CONTROLS ENGINEER JOB SUMMARY: As a Controls Engineer you will have the knowledge of automated assembly systems with a solid understanding of the basic theory of industrial controls system applications, design and operation including concepts of power distribution. You will utilize your ability to trouble shoot to solve problems using creative solutions and improve process while being adaptive to various situations. You will be required to maintain, develop and improve automation controls systems to help increase productivity and efficiency while meeting both facility and customer needs. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Maintaining checklistsReview and input data into PLC logReview shift reportsParticipation in and preparation for managerial meetingsProgrammingWork across with other facilitiesWork cross functionally with other departmentsUtilize team member feedbackFind solutions to critical issuesMaintain and improve overall equipment efficiency (OEE)HMI performanceEvaluate new manufacturing and controls technologiesWork with tools to find the root cause of an issueContinuous improvement projectsKeep equipment operating and improve equipment uptime by performing periodic auditsIdentify and implement error proofing requirements throughout the production processIncident reportingSOT walksFollow health and safety processesAct in a proactive and preventative safety behaviorDocumentation and reportsEnsure that you stay up to date on controls technologyStay compliant with training required for positionAll other duties as assigned EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, or in related fieldsYears of Experience: 2 year experience in industry and related equipmentEnglish proficiencyTRAVEL: Travel Required: minimum KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Allen Bradley (Studio 5000), Siemens (step 7), and C C sharp and ladder logic experienceAbility to read drawingAdvanced knowledge of electronic devicesExpertise on Fanuc Roberts programmingKnowledge on communication protocolsAdvance computer trouble shooting experienceBENEFITS:Blue Cross Blue Shield MedicalDelta DentalVSP Vision401k MatchingTuition Reimbursement Paid Time OffEmployee Assistance ProgramAdditional Competitive Benefits PURPOSE: Building A Better Everything We build a better culture by putting people before profit, leading for purpose, passion and performance, and creating an environment devoted to an exceptional experience for our customers and people.
