Andrews University is Hiring a Director of Pre-College Services Near Berrien Springs, MI
The Director of Pre-College Services position is responsible for coordinating institution-wide programming designed to support pre-college students. This position will also lead the AU Gateway Experience, a unique pathway to admission to the Andrews University main campus for students who do not meet regular admission requirements. The position will also serve pre-college and high school communities in an effort to grow services offered to local communities and the North American Division.

Education: Master’s degree Experience: Must have experience with a variety of student services, including enrollment, academic advising and pre-college populations. Preference giving to applicants with additional experience working with high school students. Interpersonal skills: Must have excellent communication skills and work well with diverse groups of students, faculty and community members. Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.
Duties and responsibilities
Pre-College Services
Advise and support all high school students enrolled in Andrews University Courses
Participate in recruitment efforts.
Liaison with Lake Union and local public high schools
Manage websites, social media and marketing campaigns associated with precollege programming.
Participate in UG Education office summer programming.
AU Gateway Experience
Coordinate and manage all aspects of the program, including the summer bridge and support services
Supervise academic coaches and peer mentors
Teach a college-readiness/skill-building course online and face-to-face
Manage the budget for the AU Gateway Program
Serve as the Chair of the AU Gateway Admissions Committee

Member, Pre College Advisory Council
Member, Undergraduate Admissions Committee
Supervisory responsibilities
Position will supervise support staff and student workers.

Physical demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus. This position must be available for evening and weekend work. All applicants must have a driver's license with a clean driving record.
