About You

You will provide expertise in the Spare Part operations new part establishment, maintenance, and fulfillment processes at STIHL Inc. Become a change agent for continuous improvement and standardization. Support initiatives that drive service, accuracy and efficiency. Participate in the operations and warehousing activities of spare parts in compliance with order requirements, space availability, and production output. You will also respond to technical questions from internal and external stakeholders regarding spare parts and their applications.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Coordinate challenging projects ranging from analysis, planning and implementation of new spare parts for domestic and export market introduction, while optimizing the supply chain and collaboration with various departments (EDM, Engineering, Sales, Technical Services, etc.) within the STIHL Group to ensure successful product launch and satisfy customer services levels. Performs daily.
• Analyze inventory reports, production schedules, sales order reports, technical bulletins, and other available material and devises plans for current and future inventory makeup and material storage in collaboration with Material Planning. Performs daily.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting to distributors and branches regarding technical aspects of parts or general order/shipping requirements. Coordinate and collaborate with other departments, such as technical services or engineering as required for problem resolution. Performs as needed.
• Creates and maintains technical bulletins, parts lists, branch/distributor bulletins, and other supplier information and distributes to branches and distribution centers. Performs weekly.
• Generate, manage and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM’s) for spare parts, assign packaging with considerations of domestic and export customer requirements and STIHL Group standards. Performs as needed.
• Evaluate spare part production, identify opportunities for improvement and cost reduction by conducting analysis and time studies for packaging standardization and continuous improvement.
• Creates/maintains material master data accuracy (i.e. pricing, MOQ, Rounding values, COO, Vendor Material, Commodity Codes, etc.). and routings in SAP for spare parts operation. Performs daily
• Collaborate for material phase-in/out and timely disposition of slow/non-moving, excess and obsolete service parts and ensure they are dispositioned quarterly to ensure available storage capacity for new parts. Performs weekly.
• Maintains currency with respect to product knowledge, technical and supervisory skills by attending training classes, special technical and administration courses, seminars, exhibits and trade shows to stay ahead of potential issues.
• Coordinate activities and reconcile inventory related to material non-conformance to ensure compliance. Works with other department personnel, such as production, quality assurance, engineering, etc. to rectify defective or unacceptable goods or to change future order requirements. Resolves issues as they occur.
• Support Material Planners and Sales Order Specialist as needed.
• All other duties as assigned.

Specifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or Engineering or equivalent relevant work experience preferred.
• CPIM, CSCP, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
• Analysis of technical documentation, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
• Supply Chain/Logistics Operations/Procurement
• Intermediate Excel Experience other Microsoft applications
• SAP experience preferred.
• 5 years' experience preferred.
