We are seeking candidates to serve as our Director of Special Education for the 2024-2025 school year. Our ideal candidate will be passionate about helping all students succeed and leading adults to help make this a reality. Our Director of Special Education will work with both our SPED staff and general education staff to provide a safe and inclusive learning environment that looks beyond the label and helps our students find their path.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Heart for all learners!
- Licensure in Exceptional Learners and/or SPED Director
- Classroom teaching experience (especially working with students from lower socioeconomic backgrounds)
- Experience working as part of a team
- Leadership experience
- Ability to model and inspire growth
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Detail-oriented
- Exceptional communication skills
- Compliance-driven
- Strong understanding of Article 7 and SPED Law
We are able to help interested candidates who may not yet have certification to obtain licensure through alternate routes to licensure.
