OVERVIEW

Electric Works is seeking a dedicated and experienced Market Coordinator to join our team and assist with daily management of Union Street Market. The Market Coordinator will manage the Day Porters and play a crucial role in ensuring that the market operates seamlessly. This position can be full-time or part-time and requires previous management experience in customer service and/or hospitality.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and supervise the daily operations of Union Street Market, ensuring a high level of customer service and satisfaction for guests.
  • Act as a point of contact for customers and vendors, answering questions, addressing concerns, and providing assistance as needed.
  • Supervise Day Porter staff, including scheduling, training, payroll, and performance management.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the market, ensuring that all areas are presentable and stocked with supplies.
  • Oversee inventory management and ordering of supplies, ensuring that stock levels are accurate.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, including inventory and supply levels, staff schedules, vendor requests, and event details.
  • Monitor and report on facility maintenance and repair needs, and work with appropriate teams to address any issues.
  • Work with the management team to develop and implement new procedures and policies to improve the overall operations of the market.
  • Assist with other tasks as needed to ensure the market’s success.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role, preferably in a customer service, hospitality, or related setting.
  • Experience with inventory management and ordering supplies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Point of Sale (POS) systems.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
