  • The hiring pay range for this position is commensurate with the level of relevant experience and education.

• Support of annual budget process and monthly financial statement reporting process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

Financial Reporting Accountant I: 

• Responsible for preparation of financial statements for all branches/departments of Sturm Financial Group.
• Responsible for preparation and formulation of budget data for the company's annual budgeting process. 
• Works closely with accounting operations personnel to ensure accuracy of financial reporting systems and data. 
• Assists with General Ledger Integration to facilitate reporting needs. 
• Assists with external audit processes as needed. 
• Other duties as assigned.

Financial Reporting Accountant II: 

• Researches accounting rules and regulations as required to facilitate reporting. 
• Assists supervisor in providing analytical guidance in identifying and solving problems with financial report users. 
• Collects and analyzes financial data, ensuring that all reporting is in compliance with GAAP and regulatory guidelines. 
• Develops integrated revenue/expense analyses to support regional management decision making. 
• Assists with preparation of the annual budget. 
• Assists with monthly forecasting process. 
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience 

• 1 - 3 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. 
• Preferred bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
• Preferred experience in banking.
