We are currently seeking a Staff Devops Engineer to join our Analytics platform team. As a Staff Devops engineer you will work alongside with our experienced team of data engineers and product managers to build and operate our data platform that process billions of transactions per day. In this role you will be contributing to the long-term success of Zscaler's data vision by building out distributed systems and scalable data platform.
Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain data infrastructure on cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and On-Prem
• Operate and Maintain Big data applications and systems on a daily basis
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and provide technical support
• Utilize Terraform and Ansible to manage and provision infrastructure in AWS/Azure
• Continuously evaluate and implement best practices for security and compliance
• Automate deployments and build self-healing systems
• Participating in or leading design reviews and production reviews for new infrastructure services
• Participate in on-call rotation
• Analyze fault-tolerance and high availability issues, performance and scale challenges, and solve them

Qualifications:

• Proficient in at least one modern programming language
• Systematic problem-solving methods, effective communication skills
• Experience with Kubernetes, including cluster build-outs, service mesh, Kong/API Gateway/ingress, Helm
• Experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems supporting stateful services
• Good technical understanding of Distributed systems architecture and data processing framework like Hadoop, Kafka, Spark
• Hands on experience with one or more public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
• Excellent understanding of operating systems concepts including networking, storage, performance and scale

Zscaler's salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) benefits.
Base Pay Range
$165,000-$190,000 USD
