HireArt is helping an autonomous mobility startup find a Customer Service Representative to work onsite at the Daniel K Inouye International Airport. In this role, you will prioritize rider experience while safely operating an autonomous shuttle.
Customer service representatives play an important role in providing a first impression of the company, and have the opportunity to engage with the community about autonomous technology. By interacting with riders, you will help humanize the experience and contribute to the company's growth through increased ridership. As the company continues to scale its business into new markets and areas, this role offers the potential for advancement.
We're looking for someone that will excel in communicating with passengers about shuttle technology, the company's vision, and the communities in which they operate. The ideal candidate will also be comfortable operating an autonomous vehicle, ensuring the safety of riders and other vehicles on the road.
As a Customer Service Representative, you'll:

• Create a positive impression by confidently representing the company to the community and area businesses.
• Communicate clearly with customers, providing professional and friendly responses to inquiries and issues.
• Provide attentive assistance to ADA riders and others who may need assistance.
• Safely operate the shuttle including maneuvers using a manual stick similar to a gaming controller/joystick.
• Provide and follow essential emergency services during critical events.
• Perform vehicle inspections and troubleshoot basic hardware/software issues.
• Create tickets for vehicle issues and ensure issues are corrected.
• Provide logistical support for the movement and storage of vehicles/equipment.
• Ensure the readiness/cleanliness of vehicles, equipment and the workplace.

Available Shift Options:

• Tues - Sat: 8:00am - 4:30pm (42.5 hours)
• Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun: 3:30pm - 10:30pm (35 hours)
• 1 years customer service experience
• Manual dexterity to operate the shuttle
• Professional appearance, demeanor and communication skills
• Self-starter; excellent problem solving skills and comfortable dealing with ambiguity
• Flexible and resourceful with a high degree of integrity and ethics
• Process-driven; high attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to learn technical troubleshooting skills to determine root cause
• Professional driving experience highly preferred

Background Check:

• Must have valid driver’s license with minimum 5 years driving experience and clean Motor Vehicle Report
• Ability to pass a background check and federal drug screen
• Must be able to pass airport traffic test (to be completed after hiring and during training period)

Physical Requirements:

• Fluency in English (both written and verbal); bilingual a plus
• Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times
• Must be able to assist ADA riders or those who may need assistance
• Sufficient manual dexterity to operate a gaming controller/joystick
• Ability to visually inspect/assess equipment, road conditions and riders
• Mixed outdoor environment with interior; may be exposed to heat/cold
• Prolonged periods of sitting, predominantly in a moving shuttle

Commitment: This is a full-time, 18-month, contract position staffed via HireArt. This position will be onsite and available to candidates who are local to Honolulu, HI.
