This position will report to the Head of M&A and focus on FP&A and Data & Analytics with exposure to M&A and Special Projects.
As a leader on the FP&A team, this role will focus on financial analysis, mentorship and training of analysts, and using financial and operation data to help the Executive Team make informed decisions. We believe that utilizing data coupled with sound financial acumen effectively allows us to make better decisions for our clients and differentiates our capabilities in the marketplace. This position will have high visibility to the Executive Team and offers a unique leadership development track.
Our associates are vital members of our team, providing:
  • Primary Responsibility: FP&A and Data & Analytics
    • Report, analyze and provide insights based on production data and other operating metrics.
    • Create ad hoc templates, reports and analysis of production data for use by division managers to evaluate their business.
    • Perform company-wide and divisional forecasting/modeling in support of various business initiatives
    • Perform ad hoc financial and data driven analyses for Executive Team and five Divisions
    • Teaching and working with others on the team to produce various analysis for the company and providing guidance/training to analysts on the team
    • Work collaboratively across teams to collect and analyze data and feedback
    • Effectively communicate and synthesize data and outcomes with visual aids
    • Lead the creation of internal and external presentations for AmWINS divisions
    • Play a significant role in the recruiting, training and development of analysts
  • Primary Responsibility: Special Projects
    • Analyzing business trends for the Executive Team and Division leadership
    • Research into potential strategic initiatives and growth opportunities
    • Developing strategy for the company in coordination with company leadership
  • Secondary Responsibility: M&A duties will include participating in all phases of the acquisition process.
    • Researching industry / product trends.
    • Sourcing / researching M&A targets
    • Networking and developing relationships with investment bankers and target company owners
    • Valuation modeling
    • Managing the diligence process
    • Communicating and developing trusted relationships with the C-suite and divisional leadership on a regular basis
    • Preparing Board materials and ad hoc analysis.
    • Reporting deal findings to the Executive Team and Board of Directors.
    • Post-deal integration support.
We are looking for people with:
  • Undergraduate degree and/or advanced degree, preferably with experience in accounting, finance, business or economics.
  • 3 years of accounting or finance experience (analysis of financial statements, business operations, etc.)
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment and work on a team.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Leadership and management skills
  • High level of motivation and work ethic.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced competency within Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook required
  • Extremely detail oriented and organized. Must be comfortable working on projects that require an extremely high level of organization, accuracy and attention to detail. Exemplary time management skills are critical for this role
  • Team oriented / strong interpersonal skills. Must be comfortable working in dynamic and diverse teams, able to handle personalities and situations with a positive attitude
  • Experience with Excel and working and manipulating financial data sets.
  • Ability to think independently and take initiating actions.
