Paid Time Off:

POSITION SUMMARY:

The IT Project Manager IV (“PM IV”) is responsible for the various tasks required to successfully complete large, strategic, enterprise-scale projects and provide support of on-going programs and initiatives. This position is a highly visible and strategic project management role requiring a proven senior-level Project Manager with strong technology acumen that can organize and successfully execute complex technology projects in a fast-paced environment.

Work Schedule: This is a remote position, allowing the IT Project Manager IV to be based anywhere in the country.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage various complex strategic initiatives or programs.
  • Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one or more major initiatives and/or several minor initiatives, simultaneously
  • Manage all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall program is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives
  • Report on project success criteria results, metrics, test and deployment management activities
  • Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization
  • Prepare estimates and detailed project plan for all phases of the project
  • Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across leadership
  • Participate and/or drive feasibility studies, vendor selections and proposals for evaluation by appropriate key stakeholders
  • Act as an internal quality control check for the project or program
  • Manage ongoing quality control and participate in quality issue resolution
  • Monitor, track and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies and critical path deliverables
  • Define success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project and program life cycle
  • Deliver appropriate and effective executive level communication
  • Continue professional development in order to keep abreast of emerging technologies, methods and best practices
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including Information Security Policies and ensure that AMSURG remains as secure as possible.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Strong experience presenting to executive sponsors with demonstrated communication skills; both written and oral, with technical and non-technical staff, at all levels of management.
  • Experience influencing and gaining buy-in from executives, sponsors, team members, stakeholders, and peers,
  • Team-building skills with technical and non-technical staff.
  • Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Flexible, with proven ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products.
  • Must be able to learn, understand and apply new technologies.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year College or University.
  • 11 years’ previous project management experience in a healthcare IT setting as an IT Program Manager.
  • Excellent experience in PM Methodologies including Agile, SCRUM, SDLC / Waterfall.
  • Technically competent with various software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), ServiceNow, Smartsheet, etc.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • Other Professional Certifications a plus.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be detail oriented and organized. High integrity, including maintenance of confidential information. Based on business need, the ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends. Must pass a background check and drug screen.
