Description

AMRO Music is seeking an organized, detailed individual to lead and manage our internal computer systems. This individual would assist team members with computer-related troubleshooting, help to create efficiencies and improvements in processes using new technology and software, and be responsible for internal network maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• System Maintenance: Regularly perform system checks, updates, and maintenance tasks across all hardware and software to ensure optimal performance. This includes the installation of service packs, patches, and updates for all systems.
• Network Management: Oversee the organization’s network infrastructure to ensure reliability and efficiency. Troubleshoot network performance issues, manage network security and optimize network resources for seamless connectivity.
• Customer Support: Serve as the first point of contact for IT-related issues, providing timely and empathetic support to end-users. Ensure resolution of issues or escalate to appropriate resources.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of all IT systems, changes, and updates. Generate regular reports on system health, network performance, and issue resolution metrics.
• Reporting: Assist team members with internal reports & data analysis using Crystal Reports and PowerBI.
• Security and Compliance: Work with and manage a third-party network security consultant responsible for external network security.
• Disaster Recovery: Develop and maintain a disaster recovery plan to minimize downtime and data loss in the event of a system failure.
• Technology Recommendations: Continuously assess the current technology stack and network setup. Recommend improvements, upgrades, or new technologies to support organizational growth and efficiency.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Demonstrated understanding of computer hardware, basic networking principles, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Proficiency with Windows/Linux operating systems, Microsoft Office 365, and network configuration and management tools.
• Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and concisely to non-technical users.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and eagerness to learn new technologies.

Preferred Skills:

• Prior experience in a system administration or network management role is highly desirable.
• A background in a retail or music-related industry, with an understanding of the unique technological needs of such environments.
