Position Summary:Reporting to an Engineering Manager this position assists and supports the engineering department. Responsibilities to include testing out design variation and their impact to sensor functionality. Position Requirements:Builds components and sensor final assembliesPrototypes components quoting, tracking, and procurementCoordinates and documents lab test activities and performance, including writing test reportsPerforms tear-down analysis, reports lab test failures, and completes corrective action plansProvides design input for products based on lab findingsAssembles concept models, functional models, and other components under the supervision of engineers and technical personnelProvides detailed drawings and prints via CAD equipmentMaintain compliance to current ISO standards and customer specific requirements as applicableSupport, promote, and perform in a manner consistent with High Performance teams, continuous improvement goals, and values of SSI Technologies, Inc Professional/Technical Experience, Skills and Education:Ideal candidate will be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree at a 4 year college/university, preferably in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, required.Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as customer drawings and specifications. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to customer inquiries and other employees of the organization.Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform advanced mathematical concepts.Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variable in situations where only limited standardization exits.
