Amp'd Adventures is Hiring an Adventure Guide/ Rental Instructor - Garden of the Gods Near Colorado, CO

Wanting an outdoor job?!! Based at the Visitors Center at Garden of the Gods (with the most incredible "office" view in town), you'll be working for the premier electric bike tour, rental and adventure company in the region. You'll be a part of our fun, energetic, and enthusiastic team, and you will have the opportunity to introduce many people from all over the world to our unique Adventures and electric bike rentals through the Garden and other locations.

If you love the outdoors, love interacting with people, and are committed to provide over-the-top customer service, we have an immediate seasonal position open and we want to hear from you! We've got the flexibility to hire either a full-time or part-time customer service person to assist our guests with bike rentals and other adventure experiences, and also to help locals and visitors figure out great stuff to do in the area.

Job Description:

This position has split duties between hosting/guiding our Adventure Challenges inside the Park and assisting guests with our bike rentals.

You’ll enjoy a job with a variety of tasks, including:

  • Hosting our guests on our exciting Adventure Challenges inside the Park
  • Training guests on the use of bikes and electric bikes including fitting them and orientating them with bike controls
  • Processing bike and e-bike rentals - outgoing and returns
  • Explaining safety information and Park rules, explaining how to use various equipment and props on our Adventures and bike rentals, suggesting great biking routes, giving recommendations for things to see and do, answering phone calls and emails, assisting with test rides.

Qualifications

This position demands a very mature, capable, experienced and level-headed individual who thrives on a varied but sometimes very fast-paced work environment, and someone who genuinely loves to be customer facing all day long. You will be dealing with guests who are looking for memorable experiences during their visit to our region, and you will be striving to be their best encounter with our community! It is critical you are a fantastic communicator, are personable, friendly & outgoing, professional, but you must also be very detail oriented, and comfortable with computers, and bicycles. In-depth knowledge of the local area will be vital, as you will function as a concierge for the many questions you will get from visitors.

  • Exceptional customer service and people skills
  • For the You must be able to ride a bike confidently, assess and instruct others how to ride confidently, and be able to handle diverse groups of people .
  • If you have a background, interest or skills in bicycling and/or bike mechanic experience, that is a huge plus.
  • Proactive, team-oriented work style that contributes to a productive, drama-free work environment
  • Must be dedicated to professionalism, and a can-do, whatever-it-takes attitude.
  • Ability to multi-task and stay calm and focused in a hectic environment
  • Must enjoy the outdoors and not be intimidated by all types of weather
  • Detail oriented, Hard working, Self-motivated
  • Able to comfortably talk in front of groups
  • Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, and a flexible schedule to support varying event needs.
  • First aid & CPR certified a big plus

Compensation:

Full or Part time seasonal position.

Competitive base pay, with great tip potential

Advanced (Rides 10 times per year, extremely capable to handle any situation on a bike)
