We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Nursing to join our team. As the Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of nursing care and ensuring the highest quality of patient care. This is a leadership role that requires strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to effectively manage a team.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
• Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, including training, mentoring, and performance evaluations
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
• Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes to identify areas for improvement
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient care and maintain medical records
• Manage staffing levels to ensure adequate coverage and optimal patient care
• Oversee infection control measures and ensure compliance with safety protocols
• Stay up-to-date with current trends and advancements in nursing practice
• Diagnose and establish patient treatment plans
• Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior
• Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care
• Educate patients about health maintenance and disease prevention
• Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
• Maintain accurate patient medical records
• Provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years experience in nursing or home health agencies
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in nursing leadership roles - areas such as hospice care, home health, acute care, etc.
• Strong knowledge of resident rights and regulatory requirements
• Proficiency in medical record management and documentation review
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to effectively manage a diverse team Preferred qualifications
• Knowledge of Medicare regulations.
• Familiarity with medical software and equipment
• Ability to build rapport with patients
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
