A DAY IN THE LIFE:
As a .Net Software Engineer, your daily responsibilities will revolve around building and enhancing customer and partner-facing web application features, as well as contributing to internal applications. Effective communication and progress reporting to management are crucial aspects of your role. You will adhere to team-established coding standards and practices, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions. Collaborating with the Project Management team and Quality Assurance team will be part of your routine to ensure the completion of requirements and bug fixes.
WHAT WE’LL TRUST YOU TO DELIVER:
- Build new features for customer and partner-facing web applications as well as internal applications
- Communicate progress effectively to management
- Collaborate with Project Management and Quality Assurance teams to complete requirements and bug fixes
- Analyze complex technical problems and propose effective solutions. Be proactive in identifying areas for improvement and optimizing existing systems for performance and reliability
- Uphold high standards of code quality, security, and best practices. Conduct code reviews and contribute to the establishment and adherence to coding standards
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies. Contribute to the company's technological roadmap by introducing innovative ideas and solutions
WHAT YOU LIKELY BRING TO THE TABLE:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 2 years experience in developing custom software applications
- Strong C# coding skills and extensive experience with ASP.NET MVC
- Experience with .Net Core is a plus
- Proficiency in working with Entity Framework (ORM for database interaction)
- Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server, including database design and normalization
- Knowledge of object serialization, JSON, and XML
- Proficiency in advanced JavaScript concepts
- Experience with project management and bug-tracking software
- Familiarity with Source Control software like TFS and/or git
