As one of the leading production centers in northeast Ohio, we specialize in manufacturing precision components and assemblies using various processes including CNC turning, milling, and multi-axis mill turning. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machines to ensure the efficient running of production. You'll work with mechanical aptitude, high attention to detail, and maintain all safety standards.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent education.
• Proven experience as a machine operator.
• Skill in operating CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools.
• Experience in machine programming.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.
• Computer savvy with basic understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAM.
• Demonstrated math skills.
• Basic knowledge of quality systems and associated equipment
• Certificate or diploma in engineering or relevant discipline preferred, but not required.

• Must be able to stand on feet for the entire shift without extra breaks.
• Must be able to lift a maximum of 30 lbs. repeatedly throughout the day on a daily basis.

Essential Functions and Duties:

• Perform machine setups (calibration, cleaning, etc.) to start a production cycle.
• Understand specifications and desired results by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings, etc.
• Translate instructions into computer commands so machines perform the correct functions.
• Run production as needed.
• Control and adjust the functions and settings of machines (e.g., speed).
• Load and unload raw material or parts onto the machine.
• Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools to ensure they meet requirements.
• Test the operation of machines periodically to guarantee their smooth running.
• Troubleshoot issues that arise during the shift.
• Check output to discover any machine-related mistakes or flaws.

• Demonstrated experience with machine operation and programming.

Special Position Requirements:

• Minor travel as needed.
