We are seeking a friendly, enthusiastic, and hard-working individual to join our team for a Cafe Manager position at our café located in the heart of Raleigh. We are currently looking for someone with solid full-time availability and can offer support throughout weekdays as well as weekends. Hours can range from 35-40 hours/week as needed.

In this role, you will work closely with our team of baristas, baking team, bakery manager, and owners to provide exceptional service to our customers and ensure day-to-day activities run smoothly. Please read the full job description and additional information before applying, thank you!

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, and other beverages; occasionally assist with the preparation of baked goods.
• Take customer orders and process payments accurately.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including daily cleaning and stocking of supplies as well as weekly cleaning and additional tasks as needed.
• Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing exceptional customer service to help ensure a satisfactory visit.
• Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth operations and a good work environment.
• Prep and prepare sandwiches, smoothies, and other menu items.
• Manage weekly employee schedules, review any time-off requests and ensure schedules are posted in a timely manner with the most up-to-date information.
• Order cafe supplies such as coffee, dry goods, and other products.
• Keep in contact with the owners and bakery manager to ensure open communication & update them as needed.
• Lead with a positive example, work alongside your fellow coworkers as to share the workload.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a barista or working in a baking/café setting is REQUIRED.
• Previous experience in a manager/shift lead-type position is REQUIRED.
• Ideal candidate possesses their high-school diploma or equivalent.
• Higher education such as an Associates or Bachelors is a plus.
• Up-to-date and valid ServSafe certification is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Ideal candidate possesses a valid and non-expired driver's license as well as a reliable mode of transportation.

***Barista shifts run all day and the café is open 7 days a week. Monday-Thursday shifts run from 6:30am-4:30pm. Friday from 6:30- 6:30, Saturday shift runs from 7:30am-6:30-pm. Sunday shift runs from 10:30am-4:30pm.

***Closing time may slightly extend beyond these hours to ensure closing responsibilities are sufficiently accomplished.
