Duties
Wilder Research is seeking two bilingual individuals to serve as community researchers, engaging specifically with a) the Vietnamese community and b) ethnic minorities or communities from Burma. These staff will collaborate with other researchers to coordinate community-based participatory research about behavioral health services with these focus communities. This role includes contributing to designing data collection tools and recruitment materials, participating in community-driven data analysis and interpretation, supporting the preparation of study reports, and planning and facilitating Community Advisory Board meetings.
Training is provided for this position. The position may require some daytime, evening, and weekend hours, with an anticipated range of 5-10 hours and the potential to increase hours over time if desired. This is an ideal position for students or those looking for part-time work.

Successful candidates will have the skills and ability to help facilitate connections with the communities we are seeking to engage with (i.e., the Vietnamese community and ethnic minorities from Burma), including excellent interpersonal skills, good listening skills, solid attention to detail, and a desire to engage communities in research and evaluation work authentically. Candidates must be able to work well in teams and independently, accept feedback and revise work accordingly, and must be able to work on tight timelines and manage multiple tasks. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office software (especially Word and Excel) is required.
A high school diploma or GED and two to four years of relevant community engagement and/or research and evaluation experience is required. A bachelor’s degree may be substituted for years of experience. We specifically seek candidates who meet the above qualifications and are bilingual in Burmese or Vietnamese.
