Summary

AMG Vanadium (AMG V) is seeking a Storeroom Coordinator to join our growing team at our new Zanesville, Ohio facility. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving parts and supplies, stock location and placement, issuing and replenishment of parts, inventory control, cycle counts and providing customer service to both internal and external customers. The Storeroom Coordinator will also be responsible identifying work orders, kitting, and providing the necessary documentation. The Storeroom Coordinator will work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Purchasing and Accounting to ensure inventory accuracy and operational needs are met.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Lead by example and comply with all AMG V safety and environmental requirements, policies, and procedures, including AMG’s Code of Business Conduct
  • Embrace and promote the AMG V culture in all day-to-day activities; foster and promote a positive, respectful work environment that is aligned with AMG’s values
  • Perform all receiving of purchased material and supplies; verify received materials and parts against purchase order (PO) and packing list
  • Track stock levels, order points and quantities based on usage; comply with Company guidelines regarding minimum and maximum stock levels
  • Manage inventory levels of materials, parts, supplies and critical components in accordance with Company requirements utilizing the Company’s ERP and MRO system
  • Manage and track return to stock items, ensuring appropriate documentation is completed
  • Monitor inventory by completing cycle counts regularly as required by business; reconcile counts by creating and utilizing inventory reports, adjusting entries as needed
  • Highlight any potential shortages and work to correct them to minimize impact to the plant operations
  • Help design, build, and optimize Storeroom layout and part identification; maintain Storeroom in an orderly and organized manner
  • Communicate with suppliers to secure price, lead-time and conduct research about parts and/or services required
  • Engage in continuous Improvement activities to improve the process and overall efficiency of the storeroom and other areas of the plant as needed.
  • Report to the Operations leadership team regarding existing orders, challenges, and production changes; respond to emergency requirements and expedite materials as needed
  • Kit materials and parts for work orders under the direction of Maintenance

Qualifications/Skills/Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience; heavy industry manufacturing experience preferred
  • Production inventory management experience required
  • Proficient in ERP systems (Maintenance Connections, SAP, JDE)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (written and verbal)
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles a plus
  • Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Able to work in a physically demanding environment; frequent bending, stooping, and lifting of 50 pounds

  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, organizational, operational, and follow-through skills
