Summary

AMG Vanadium (AMG V) is seeking a MES Analyst to join us at our Zanesville, Ohio facility. In this role, you will be responsible for owning the business facing aspects of the shop floor system. The data captured from this system will be used for direct process control, operational performance review, and inventory tracking.

Responsibilities and Duties (all other duties as assigned)

• Lead by example and comply with all AMG V safety and environmental requirements, policies, and procedures, including AMG’s Code of Business Conduct.
• Embrace and promote the AMG V culture in all day-to-day activities; foster and promote a positive, respectful work environment that is aligned with AMG’s values.
• Lead installation and commissioning activities including documentation of testing results.
• Leads the implementation of the shop floor system serving as a liaison between the system vendor and AMG Personnel.
• Responsible for maintaining the shop floor system and making continuous improvement recommendations as needed.
• Serves as the primary system trainer for all areas.
• Develop all training documentation per AMG standard.
• Develop blackout procedures for use during system downtime.
• Integration with all levels of the organization required from the President to the floor operators.
• Lead problem solving initiatives to address any variances.
• Ensures timely and accurate validation of production data (consumptions, movements, adjustments), including the outputs of each area. Produces inventory and production reports.
• Works with Finance and Operations to ensure timely and accurate inventory control and reporting.

Qualifications/Skills/Requirements

• Associate degree in business or related field preferred, comparable levels of education and experience may be considered.
• Minimum 3-5 years of manufacturing experience; heavy industry manufacturing experience is preferred.
• 3-5 years’ experience required, JDE is preferred.
• 3-5 years’ Inventory Management/Control Experience.
• Ability to support teams after core business hours, as required.
• Systems implementation experience preferred.
• Excellent command of Microsoft Suite of Products, strong Excel skills are required.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to work effectively across functional lines, including internal and external customers.
• Adaptable to change.
• Excellent attention to detail, time management, organizational, operational, and follow-through skills.
