The Position:

AMEWAS is seeking a highly motivated and talented Software Engineer-Junior to support Battlespace Modeling & Simulation. The salary range of this position is $75,000.00-$85,000.00, and is commensurate with experience. This position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required.

A typical day as a Software Engineer-Junior may include:

• Attends requirement gathering meetings
• Develops software applications
• Designs documentation
• Preforms unit testing and debugging
• Edits/Corrects code

Must-haves:

• BS Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering
• Experience with software application development
• The ability to work well in a team environment
• The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance

Desired Skills:

•  C Object Oriented Coding experience

Physical Environment and Working Conditions:

The physical environment requires the employee to work in an office, sitting in a cubicle or at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday. Work is physically comfortable. The employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.

The employee may be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site. In some occasions, the employee may be required to report to offices or buildings near the work site. In rare occasions, overnight travel may be required.
