We are looking to hire a Lead Engineer who will combine deep technical expertise with leadership and a hands-on approach to software development. You will work in a mentorship capacity on the team and spearhead day to day technical responsibilities. This position gives you the ability to make technical decisions, collaborate with technical and business teams, as well as work on the latest and greatest technology.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Lead the design and architecture of software systems ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability. Make key technical decisions and guide the team in implementing robust solutions. 
  • Engage directly in the development process by writing high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code. 
  • Establish and uphold high standards for coding practices within the team demonstrating best practices in code structure, documentation, and testing to ensure the development of robust and scalable software solutions. 
  • Work collaboratively with the development team, sharing knowledge and participating in pair programming sessions when necessary. 
  • Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to coding standards, and integration of best practices. 
  • Assist in project planning, including task breakdown, estimation, and scheduling. 
  • Work closely with project managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand and analyze requirements.
  • Identify the potential risks early in the project lifecycle and develop mitigation strategies to address them. 
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide timely solutions. 
  • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies such as Sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. 
  • Work with Azure Devops for repository management, build pipelines, and release management. 

Requirements

What You Bring to the Team:

  • 5 years of demonstrated leadership experience in software development setting, including leading projects, mentoring developers, and driving technical initiatives to completion. 
  • BS/MS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Strong understanding and hands-on experience in developing web applications using .NET for backend services and AngularJS front end development 
  • In-depth knowledge of Azure services such as Azure App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), etc. Experience in designing and implementing cloud-native solutions on Azure. 
  • Hands-on experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes, including deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications. 
  • Ability to analyze requirements and design scalable, maintainable, and secure architectural solutions. Knowledge of architectural patterns such as microservices, serverless, and event-driven architecture. 
  • Strong coding skills in C# for backend development using .NET Core and JS for frontend development with AngularJS.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide effective solutions. Experience in debugging and optimizing code for performance and scalability. 
  • Experience in Agile development methodologies and understanding of SDLC. 
  • Commitment to staying updated on the latest technologies, tools and best practices in software development, cloud computing, and DevOps practices. 
  • Be open to feedback and willing to adapt to changing project requirements, or evolving business priorities.
