1. Responsible for assisting the Executive Director in maintaining adequate supplies & equipment. Assures cost-effective utilization of supplies & equipment.

2. Assists with and develops policies, and procedures for implementation of new procedures, i.e. total joints.

3. Maintains records & statistics for administrative purposes & budget preparation.

4. Responsible for managing staffing to volumes.

5. Knowledgeable in the management of pts., pain, and directing care. Maintains pt: privacy, and pain mgmt. Safety, confidentiality, block preparation, manage pre & post op. orders, and all documentation.

6. Is knowledgeable of the psychological, physiological & spiritual needs of patients & directs care accordingly and in an age-appropriate manner for patients. Utilizes the nursing process and demonstrates leadership skills. Has the ability to assess airways, vital signs, dressings, IVs, condition of the pt, administering meds w/documentation. Provides safety & comfort.

7. Provides direction to the surgery center’s pharmaceutical services under the direction of the Medical Director.
