Amerlux, a pioneer in the lighting industry for over 35 years, is seeking Maintenance Assistant to join our team in Oakland, NJ. As a Maintnenace Assistant, you will be responsible for the day to day repairs as directed by the Facilities Maintenance Manager.
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Assist with maintaining equipment, tools and general upkeep of the manufacturing and office areas.
- Assist with troubleshooting issues and performing minor repairs as required.
- Assist with annual, semi-annual and quarterly service updates to all plant equipment.
- Work with the Safety Committee to ensure any critical items are addressed immediately.
- Other duties as deemed appropriate by management.
Skills & Experiences:
- 1-2 years facility maintenance.
- Basic plumbing, electric or general construction skills.
Environmental/Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be asked to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Physical requirements to lift/move items up to 65 lbs.
