Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to join our team. As a Home Health Aide, you will provide essential care and support to individuals in their homes. Your role will involve assisting with daily activities, monitoring health conditions, and ensuring the overall well-being of our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Help with mobility and transfers, including using assistive devices as needed
- Administer medications and assist with medical treatments under the supervision of a nurse
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Assist with meal planning and preparation, including special dietary needs
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment for clients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for each client
- Follow care plans and instructions provided by healthcare professionals
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Home Health Aide or in a similar caregiving role is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is beneficial
- Experience with tube feeding, dementia care, and vital sign monitoring is a plus
- Ability to lift and transfer clients safely using proper body mechanics
Requirements:
- Valid HHA Certificate
- Must be a compassionate individual with a genuine desire to help others
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Reliable transportation to travel to client homes
- Ability to work independently while following established care plans
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and client needs
