Ameristar Casino is looking for Banquet Servers to join our team! The ideal Banquet Server will serve food and beverages to our guests in a quick. efficient, and courteous manner.

Responsibilities include:

• Must be able to carry heavy trap 25lbs or more.
• Greet guests with a smile and pleasant disposition in a timely manner.
• Use suggestive selling (i.e. cocktails, appetizers, desserts, etc.).
• Observe and anticipate guest’s needs, keeping table cleared between courses, and beverages filled throughout their meal.
• Present check for payment when all guests needs have been met for cash events.
• Complete assigned side work and additional daily tasks.
• Inform immediate supervisor if situations arise with guests or fellow team members that cannot be handled directly.
• Serve table completely, using trays and covers on food, serving all sides and accompaniments in a timely, efficient manner according to all Standards and Sequence of Service.
• Always conduct oneself in a manner that reflects a positive professional image to the company.
• Must be able to work in a team setting and able to give input and accept critical feedback.
• Have fun.

What We are Looking For?

• 1 year of banquet server experience in a convention center.
• Knowledge of wines.
• Knowledge of food preparation.
• Knowledge of upselling techniques.
• Food service experience.
• Must successfully complete a TIPS training class (responsible for serving alcohol).
• Outgoing personality with interest in guest hospitality.
• Exceptional work habits.
