We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst. This position is at our client's location in Washington, DC, and performed in a hybrid work-from-home capacity.
POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a Project Manager to join our team, supporting a key government customer project at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) within the Project Management Office (PMO). This role is critical in overseeing and directing business operations at the program level, ensuring that the project objectives align with the strategic goals of FERC. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in project management within government settings, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the energy regulatory environment. This position is HYBRID working 1 day/week on-site in DC (near Union Station) performing duties during normal business hours.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Management and Oversight: Lead project planning, scheduling, tracking, and reporting. Ensure timely completion of project milestones and deliverables in accordance with government standards and FERC regulations.
Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for FERC stakeholders. Maintain effective communication and manage expectations to ensure alignment of project objectives with FERC’s strategic goals.
Team Leadership and Development: Supervise and mentor project team members. Foster a collaborative environment and ensure the team has the resources and guidance needed to succeed.
Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks. Implement risk management strategies to minimize impact on project objectives.
Budget and Resource Management: Manage project budget, allocate resources efficiently, and provide financial reporting to both internal and external stakeholders.
Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure project compliance with all relevant federal regulations and standards. Oversee quality assurance processes to maintain the integrity and excellence of project outputs.
Continuous Improvement: Analyze project outcomes and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in future projects.
REQUIREMENTS
Ability to obtain Public Trust
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or related field. A Master’s degree or PMP certification is preferred.
10 years total professional experience with a minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in a government setting.
Excellent organizational skills and detail orientation with a proven track record of managing large, complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
Strong understanding of federal regulations and standards, particularly those relating to the energy sector.
Excellent communication, response promptly to customer inquiries, and problem-solving skills.
Possess a positive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Working knowledge of Agile Development Life Cycle

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Requires standing, walking, sitting, hand use, occasional lifting, reaching, and carrying.

Prolonged periods using a phone or other forms of business communication
TRAVEL
Local DC Metro travel (commute) is required.
