AmeriMed, Inc. West Chester, OH has provided home infusion therapy services to help our patients safely transition care to their home for over 30 years. At AmeriMed we assist patients recovering from surgery, being treated for an infection, or with nutritional needs to maintain an active, healthy lifestyle while receiving care at home. Through our experienced and professional pharmacy team at AmeriMed we provide total care for our patients. Working directly with physicians, we are able to manage a variety of diseases and conditions in a homecare setting, alleviating long and unnecessary stays in the hospital.

AmeriMed Home Infusion Pharmacy in West Chester, OH is looking for a Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our team!

*This position is currently eligible for a $2,500 sign on bonus!*

Responsibilities

As a Certified Pharmacy Technician at AmeriMed, you will play an integral role in the pharmacy operations. At AmeriMed you will utilize your clinical knowledge to assist pharmacist with providing safe and appropriate infusion therapies to be administered to our patients in their homes.

 Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist you will:

• Be working in the clean room preparing and compounding specialized therapies using aseptic technique.
• Assist with performing daily temperature checks on refrigerators, freezer and drug storage areas recording and maintaining temperature logs.
• Accurately calibrate pharmacy equipment.
• Assist with biohazard waste disposal in accordance with EPA, OSHA, state and federal guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Active Certified Pharmacy Technician registration with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy required.
• Active ExCPT Certification provided by the National Healthcareer Association; or CPhT Certified Pharmacy Technician Certification through Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
• Two years Pharmacy Technician experience preferred.
• IV compounding experience required.
• Understands and can perform basic pharmaceutical calculations in order to obtain correct doses of medications.
• Participate in weekend rotation as indicated by staffing and business needs.
