Using a trauma-informed care approach, AmeriCorps Stability Mentors are on the front lines of the fight to overcome Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), prevent trauma, and break the relentless cycles of poverty and substance use. Members will work together in their house teams to coordinate responsibilities within the home, support mothers and their babies, and respond to conflicts and crises. AmeriCorps members transform lives through hope, love and a dedication to servant leadership. Each AmeriCorps member will take initiative in one of the following roles: House Manager, Volunteer Coordinator, Donations/House Operations Coordinator or Programs Coordinator. All members will provide daytime and overnight house coverage, answer the house phone, welcome visitors, offer tours, engage with volunteers, receive donations and respond to the duty of the moment. Due to the nature of the home environment, live-in positions are available to women only. Live-out AmeriCorps members will work closely with a house team or with the Programs Team at the Family Success Center to support the Maggie's Place alumni-mom program, implement child enrichment programs, and provide ongoing support for Maggie's Place homes and programming. Applicants must also complete the Maggie's Place application below prior to participating in an interview.
