CTW - Community Training Works, Inc. is an environmental conservation corps who empower individual form all backgrounds and abilities to contribute purposefully to their community through education and hands on experience. We impact communities through work on public lands, roads and waterways. We envision a world where individuals utilize intelligence and positive energy to improve their lives community and environment. We accomplish this by offering workforce development opportunities to local young adults and veterans (18 to 35 years old). They are enrolled AmeriCorps and perform community service work working on public lands outdoors. They improve their communities while improving their lives. The work is on public land with partnerships at the Andersonville National Historic Site, a National Park Service site to improve the public lands such as historic site. Responsibilities will include removing vegetation and clear overgrown brush from the historic site, address tripping hazards caused by uneven ground, tree and brush removal and weed eating to preserve earthworks and stockade grounds.
Member Duties : AmeriCorps Members will serve at the national historic site in Andersonville, GA and perform community service work improving the site. They will use weed eaters, brush cutters, loppers to remove vegetation and clear overgrown brush. Responsibilities includes weed eating, brush removal, tree removal, mowing.
