As an AmeriCorps Teacher Support Specialist, you will get the opportunity to:

• Choose to serve between 10-30 hours per week at a local elementary school.
• Directly serve elementary school teachers and students in order to improve student academic performance in Spartanburg County, SC.
• Develop a wide range of professional and leadership skills.
• Collaborate with other National Service members on volunteer projects.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing small group instruction
• Supporting social/emotional needs of students
• Enriching family and school relationships
• Monitoring student progress and attendance
• Assisting teachers with remote and e-learning opportunities
• Supporting students with one-on-one reading and math assistance

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $4,000.00 - $12,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
