• Assist senior leadership by providing subject matter expertise regarding Government acquisition practices and lifecycle governance applied to infrastructure and technology solutions across all customer mission areas.

A week in the life of an Acquisition Program Manager:

• Supervise personnel to ensure tasks are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
• Provide process and policy development, program technical analysis, Freedom of Information Act support, and audit support.
• Assist in developing, implementing, managing, and monitoring the customer’s strategic plan development and implementation.
• Support the Knowledge Management functional area by using concepts, processes, tools, and methodologies of knowledge management.
• Assist the Government leads with preparing correspondence, briefings senior leaders, and tracking actions.
• Provide inputs to weekly status in support of the contractual deliverables

• Bachelor’s Degree 
• Eight years of experience in developing acquisition policy; conducting oversight and governance of Government Acquisition Programs.
• An expert understanding of DHS Management Directive 102- 01 and its supporting guides, DoD 5000, and Federal Acquisition Institute guidelines
• Active DHS Clearance, Background Investigation or ability to obtain clearance
• Expertise in policy, process and governance regarding acquisition and system lifecycles.

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is $130,000 - $170,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
