Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Superintendent to join our team. As a Construction Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects from start to finish. This is a full-time position located in the Austin/San Antonio area.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents
- Implement and enforce safety protocols in accordance with OSHA standards
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications
- Monitor progress and provide regular updates to project stakeholders
- Manage project budgets, including cost estimation, tracking expenses, and approving invoices
- Collaborate with clients to address any concerns or issues that may arise during construction
- Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and permits
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of construction principles, practices, and techniques
- Proficient in blueprint reading and interpretation
- Familiarity with construction management software such as Builder Trend
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong leadership abilities with the ability to effectively manage a team
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
