The Surimi Technician is responsible for operating and effecting routine maintenance on all machinery and equipment used for mixing cryoprotectants with processed fish meat aboard his/her assigned vessel. This individual is expected to thoroughly understand all aspects of this machinery and its maintenance, and have a good working knowledge of how surimi quality is affected during this portion of the surimi production process.
Skill and Experience Required
12 hours or more per day for the duration of the trip, including loading and unloading
Ability to work at sea for extended periods of time
Able to work during the shipyard maintenance period as needed
Compensation is crew share based, estimate is $9,00 - 12,000 per month
