What You’ll Do

The Fleet Manager, Quality Assurance will be responsible for implementing and coordinating product assurance program to prevent or eliminate quality escapes and asset downtime to prevent risks in operational fleet assets for the assigned region. 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Analyze, evaluate, and present information concerning factors such as business situations, operational uses, maintenance and repair trends, manufacturing and workmanship errors, and influence design and development of new products for consideration by other members of management team.
• Execute and implement quality control policies, operating procedures and goals.
• Review technical problems and procedures of departments and recommend solutions to problems or changes in procedures.
• Consult with representatives of operations, vendors to obtain information related to quality and vendor quality standards.
• Partner with engineers on quality assurance of new products designed and manufactured products currently in the marketplace to rectify problems.
• Ensure processes needed for the Quality Management System are implemented and maintained while data is provided on the performance of the Quality Management System.
• Assure promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization.
• Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety and Environmental regulatory requirements.

What We Want From You:

• Demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

• Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams requiring a high level of understanding of mechanical, electrical, structural, vehicular, plumbing, HVAC knowledge.
• Strong knowledge of operating, installing or repairing mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Ability to enable continuous process improvement and drive change in the organization.
• Ability to drive decision-making in an ambiguous or uncertain environment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines​.
• Must be available for “On Call” duty for emergencies.
• Travel for work domestically up to 25% of the time.
• 5 years of relevant professional experience in mechanical design and manufacturing engineering in vehicle, trailer, construction or similar industries required.
• 3 years of relevant professional experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control in an operations repair and maintenance environment or similar preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Systems Management or related field required.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) preferred.
