Description

American Plastics, LLC, a leading designer, and manufacturer of innovative plastic-injection molded products for the household, garage storage and commercial cleaning, is seeking a positive, outgoing, and energetic Maintenance Technician to join our team in Sycamore, OH reporting to the Maintenance Manager. This position will work a 12/HR shift on a 2-2-3 schedule every other weekend is a 3-day weekend and working less days per month!

HOURS: 7am-7pm & 7pm-7am

Description:

• Electrical: Know how to troubleshoot and read electrical prints.
• Hydraulics: know how to troubleshoot and debug hydraulic circuits, read machine schematics and repair.
• Pneumatics: Know how to troubleshoot and debug pneumatic circuits, read machine schematics and repair.
• Know injection-molding machine general maintenance, troubleshooting, debug and repair as needed.
• Execute lock out/tag out procedures as required on all Injection and related equipment.
• Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions to prevent the occurrence of any downtime that can be avoided with proper preventative, predictive or continuous improvement ideas.
• Work with equipment suppliers to determine root cause of equipment failures and implement a permanent solution.
• Perform daily checks of all injection molding equipment as outlined on the preventive maintenance schedule.
• Fork truck license, Man lift certificate, and crane operation required, will train to our specifics (not required, but a plus).
• Owns and maintains the required basic set of tools needed to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position.

Requirements

• Prior Maintenance Technician experience required (injection molding experience a plus)
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Knowledge of basic math skills
• Must demonstrate good judgment and decision-making ability.
• Must possess interpersonal skills and be able to communicate on all levels.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, forklift experience or willing to learn.
